With the development of the automotive industry, the demand for imported auto parts is also increasing. As auto parts involve numerous industries and fields, various problems often arise during the declaration process, such as lengthy declaration times and frequent errors. Therefore, this article provides detailed standard declaration requirements for auto parts to help you complete declaration work more efficiently.
Auto parts are mainly divided into two categories: parts used for automobile production (referred to as production parts) and parts used for automobile maintenance (referred to as maintenance parts). It should be noted that auto parts that constitute the characteristics of a complete vehicle are not included in this definition.
For auto parts within the scope of the List of Auto Parts Requiring Detailed Declaration, declarations must be made item by item in accordance with the provisions of the General Administration of Customs Announcement No. 64 of 2006. Simplified or consolidated classification methods are not acceptable.
The declaration of imported production parts must comply with relevant regulations and requirements to ensure the accuracy and completeness of information.
1. Commodity name column
• Format:Chinese name/brand/characteristics of complete knock-down (CKD) parts, rough castings, or complete machines
• Instructions:
(1) Fill in the detailed Chinese commodity name and brand of imported auto parts, with a / separating the Chinese commodity name and brand.
(2) Imported complete sets of parts or rough parts should be marked with complete sets of parts or rough after the brand, separated by /.
(3) If imported auto parts constitute complete machine characteristics, they should be marked with complete machine characteristics after the brand, separated by /.
2. Specification model column
• Format:S(w, WF)/part number/TY/applicable vehicle brand and model/other required declaration indicators
• Instructions:
(1) The part number should be preceded by S or w to distinguish production parts and repair parts, with / separating the letter and part number.
(2) After the part number, sequentially add the applicable vehicle brand and model for the part.
(3) If the brand of imported repair parts is inconsistent with the applicable vehicle brand, W should be added before the part number, separated by /.
(4) The TY mark applies to parts suitable for two (or more) brands and models or imported parts suitable for two (or more) four-digit headings (8701-8705).
3. Remarks column
• Format:CT/part number
• Instructions:If the inspection status of auto parts is complete sets of parts, do not fill in the part number in the specification model column, but fill in the part number of the final complete product assembled from the complete sets of parts in the remarks column.
4. Unit price and quantity and unit,
• Instructions:In addition to filling in the statutory measurement units as required, the actual transaction unit price and actual transaction measurement units must be strictly reported and printed on the third line.
The List of Auto Parts Requiring Detailed Declaration is issued by the General Administration of Customs and will be adjusted and updated periodically based on actual conditions. To ensure the accuracy of declarations, importers should closely monitor relevant announcements from the General Administration of Customs.
For auto parts not included in the List of Auto Parts Requiring Detailed Declaration, importers must still declare them in accordance with relevant customs regulations.
